Friday's links:

Washingtonian.com: Gladwell's Brain
"Malcolm Gladwell, the quirky author of Blink and Tipping Point, writes bestseller after bestseller. He got his start in Washington, and Washington hasn’t been the same since."
The Onion: Couple Brought Together Through Mutual Desperation
"After years of unrelenting disappointment and failure on the dating scene, eligible singles Karen Ridenour and Paul Klein forged an instant, clinging bond last month through a mutual desperation born mainly out of an intense fear of being unloved for the rest of their lives.
Chief Happiness Officer: How To Deal With A Bad Boss
"The uncontested, number-one reason why people are unhappy at work is bad management. Nothing has more power to turn a good work situation bad than a bad boss. Sadly there are quite a lot of them around. A recent British study accused 1 in 4 bosses of being bad, while a Norwegian study said 1 in 5."
TechDirt: Court Reinforces, And Even Expands, Sites Owners' Immunity For Other People's Content
"A federal judge in Texas has ruled that Yahoo wasn't liable in a civil case for an child pornography online group set up and moderated by a user on its servers. The user's in jail on criminal charges stemming from the group, but a civil suit targeted the ISP with a variety of claims, though the judge ruled that Section 230 gave them immunity, even though it was alleged Yahoo had broken the law by hosting child porn. This means that people can't file civil cases against site owners or hosting providers, and use the allegation of criminal conduct as a way to get around Section 230."
